Bengal’s Durga Puja is unthinkable without the ubiquitous Bengali platter. Trust the most favoured Bengali joints in Kolkata to stir up a mouth-watering menu for this festive season. Aaheli features among the top fave Bengali restaurants of Kolkata that comes up with a unique spread of Bengali dishes to celebrate Bengal’s biggest festival.

But the good news this Festive season is that Aaheli is now close to South Kolkata’s Bengali foodies. After the original Peerless Inn outlet in Esplanade and another in Axis Mall, Rajarhat, Aaheli has inaugurated a third outlet and its first in south Kolkata on Sarat Bose Road. Responding to the demands of foodies in the southern part of the city, Aaheli decided to reach its loyal customers in this part of Kollkata.

The new Aaheli on Sarat Bose Road

The brand new outlet at 190A, Sarat Bose Road has been decorated to suit Bengali taste and sentiment and, of course, to exude the perfect Durga Puja Festive vibes. The walls of the restaurant are adorned with motifs made on kantha stitch. Guests will find their tables adorned with brass diyas to bring the festive feel.

The attraction, however, remains in the food. At present, the outlet is all set to welcome the Puja crowd with its special menu that is already being served. This menu is special to the Sarat Bose Road outlet as a special Durga Puja launch offer. “We have introduced the Durga Puja menu at this outlet for pandal-hoppers and festive crowd. We are already getting responses for deliveries and many guests are visiting us. This area has some of the most popular Pujas of south Kolkata and we hope to attract the crowd coming here,” said a spokesperson at Aaheli.

At an earlier programme on October 1, Aaheli launched its Durga Puja menu with a special bloggers’ meet. The menu includes typical Bengali cuisine, most of which are uncommon but are very special traditional items on the Bengali platter.

With an elaborate spread of Bengali food and beverages, Aaheli hopes to attract a happy crowd of foodies in the post-pandemic Durga Puja that is expected to have the same enthusiasm and excitement as before the pandemic.

  1. Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any recommendations for novice blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
